FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn.- At the Les Bolstad Golf Course the Central Michigan University men took 17th place while the women finished three spots ahead in 14th place.
Leading the Central Michigan University women was Sophomore Kristen Olling who placed 40th in 22 minutes, 27 seconds, and Kelly Schubert, a junior on the women’s team, placed 4th in 22 minutes, 41 seconds.
In the men’s division, Nate Ghena and Silas Dekalita, both in their senior year, led the very close division. Ghena would finish 62nd in 26:16, and Dekalita would finish 83rd in 26:37, just 21 seconds behind his teammate.
The men’s race was and 8k and had a total of 23 teams while the 6k women’s race had 26 teams competing.
The women’s divison was won by Boise State with 37 points and they were followed by Michigan State with 116 points and the Minnesota Golden Gophers with 141 points who also hosted the meet. The Central Michigan Chippewas finished with 435 points. In the Men’s division Michigan State led the way with 74 points. Southern Utah and California closely followed with 88 and 94 points respectively. CMU finished the race with 485 points.
