Preview: Cross Country Pre-Nationals

The Central Michigan Cross Country teams had 6 top 10 finishes last week at Oakland, now they prepare to head to Louisville.

The University of Louisville is hosting the Cross Country Pre-Nationals meet this weekend on Saturday, October 17, 2015. 

The meet features six races, two seeded races to start the meet, followed by two unseeded races and two open races.  The prestigious meet will feature top competition from around the nation in all six races.  The schedule for the six races is listed below.

9:30 a.m.          Men's 8,000 Meter Red Race (seeded)
10:15 a.m.        Women's 6,000 Meter Red Race (seeded)
10:45 a.m.        Men's 8,000 Meter Black Race (unseeded)
11:30 a.m.        Women's 6,000 Meter Black Race (unseeded)
12:00 p.m.       Men's 8,000 Meter Open Race
12:45 p.m.       Women's 6,000 Meter Open Race

Look for seniors Nate Ghena from Newport, MI and Silas DeKalita, from Clio, MI to make an impact for the men, and look for senior Kelly Schubert from Freesoil, MI to make an impact for the women. These three did not run last week to give the underclassmen an opportunity to run their hardest at the Oakland Invite.
